Chelsea have managed to sign Brazilian international defender David Luiz from Benfica for £21.4m, just in time before the transfer window closed at 11pm tonight.David Luiz is capable of playing in the centre of defence but he can also as a full-back on either side.
The Brazilian has made 70 appearances for Benfica in the Portuguese Liga this season, scoring four goals, whilst he also has four caps for Brazil.
David Luiz has signed five and a half year deal at Stamford Bridge.
