A Cardiff win would of seen the Bluebirds claim their finest ever start to a league season but where Cardiff were desperate to put their rivals away, who are currently on third position behind Cardiff in the league standings, Cardiff struggled to come out the blocks and were on the back foot for most of the game, rarely creating goalscoring chances. Star striker Craig Bellamy had an afternoon to forget with two wasted chances, including a close range header right at the death.
