Chelsea have tonight agreed to sell Portuguese defender Ricardo Carvalho to Real Madrid in deal worth £6.65 million pounds, the move to Spain would see the 32-year-old reunited with his former coach and mentor Jose Mourinho who orginally signed Carvalho during his spell at Chelsea.
"Ricardo is a good player, but he is of that age where if someone is looking to build a team for the future, he cannot think of him," Mourinho said.
"Ricardo is a man for the current moment, he is a man with a great professional and private life so he has no problem playing at a high level at the age of 32.”
