Bellamy joins Cardiff on loan

Craig Bellamy has found a new home.  The striker will be joining Cardiff City on loan which is where he has always intimated he would be happiest.

The Manchester City striker has always maintained that he would most like to finish his playing career with the club based in the Welsh capital.  So, wishes do come true and now Bellamy will be joining Cardiff on a season long loan.

Bellamy has been cruelly frozen out by Manchester City without any good reason offered by the club and even had to resort to a television interview to effectively sell himself last week.  However, despite offers to remain in the Barclays Premier League, he has now opted to drop down to the Championship.

Celtic and Tottenham were leading the chase for Bellamy, with a number of other clubs in the running, including so rumour had it, Everton, Bolton and Fulham.  Bellamy's family is based in South Wales and so the player has now opted for returning to the green, green grass of home.  The pond is smaller in Cardiff, but Bellamy will be a big fish there, that's for sure.
