William Gallas joins Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur has completed the signing of William Gallas, the Frenchman has signed on as a free agent and has put pen to paper on a one year deal. The former Arsenal defender will join up with his new team-mates on Monday morning and will go straight into their squad. Harry Redknapp is delighted to have got his man, this signing will no doubt bolster the Spurs defence.

The French international was part of the Chelsea side that won back-to-back Premier League titles as well as the League Cup in 2005. Gallas left Stamford Bridge after five seasons, during which he made 213 appearances and scored 14 goals, and decided to leave for Arsenal in September 2006. Gallas captained the side during the 2007/08 campaign and went on to make 145 appearances, scoring 17 goals before leaving at the end of last season. Best Blogger Tips
