Andrew Sheridan has rejected a offer to play in France next season and has re-signed with Sale on a new twelve month deal. The England prop had been linked with a move abroad, but has decided to stay loyal to club he has played for since 2003 when he moved from Bristol.
After announcing Steve Diamond, former Sale player and coach had been revealed as new executive director of sport at the club. Sale wasted no time in announcing that Andrew has decided to stay, Diamond originally signed Sheridan from Bristol and is delighted to team up with the prop once again.
Diamond said: "I am very pleased Andrew has re-signed for the club.
"I remember watching him develop as a player and knew he was going to be one of the best as his career progressed.
"I have followed his progress with interest and am looking to build a team around Sherri and Mark Cueto who has also been a loyal servant to the club down the years."
