Leicester City have signed Everton striker Yakubu on loan until the end of the season, the Nigerian joins the Championship side in hope of making the move permanently in the summer. Yakubu, who has more then 50 international caps, after an eight-month lay-off with an Achilles injury in 2008 and 2009 the striker has struggled to find his form this season.
Yakubu is surplus to requirements at Goodison Park, having started only eight games this season and David Moyes was happy for the 28-year-old to join the Foxes,
Eriksson confirmed the move on Leicester’s official website, he said; "Yakubu is a tremendous signing. He will bring pace, power and experience.
"He has captained his country, played in major competitions and he is a world-class footballer."
