Andy Carroll has been granted bail after being charged with assault following an attack on his girlfriends, the grounds of bail was that the Newcastle United striker would have to stay at the house of club captain Kevin Nolan. The 21 year old appeared at Tynedale Magistrates court following an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Carroll told the court he was acting in self defence and as part of Carroll's bail conditions he was ordered to live with Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan.
The case was adjourned until 10th January.
