Bayern Munich Hope To Sign Jerome Boateng

Bayern Munich have confirmed their interest in Manchester City’s Jerome Boateng, the defender has been out of favour at Eastland’s following impressive centre-back duo of Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott.

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge remains hopeful the Bundesliga club can sign Boateng despite a disagreement over price.

He said: "I believe that there is a chance that we will come to an agreement.

"We will have to play a waiting game and this is not something which will be resolved in the next two or three days."

City, for their part, have shown little inclination to lose the German, with sporting director Mike Rigg describing Boateng as "unsellable".

The main stumbling block is City's insistence on a transfer fee in the region of €20 million (£17.7m), with Bayern currently only prepared to stump up €12.5m (£11m). Best Blogger Tips
